Kamishibai is a traditional form of Japanese storytelling. Kamishibai usually consists of 12 to 16 large, beautifully illustrated 15"x10.5" wooden boards. As you can see in some photos below, the story is often written on the back of each storyboard. Here is professor Jeffery Dym performing a most colorful, entertaining Kamishibai story.
